What is PayMe for Business?

PayMe for Business enables brick-and-mortar and online merchants to collect payments from customers via mobile electronic devices (such as Apple iPhone), and PayMe users can make instant payments to merchants via PayMe, just like normal PayMe transfers. (Wow!)

Through PayMe for Business, merchants can instantly charge customers in Hong Kong with QR Code, and transfer funds to their own company's HSBC business account (ie, corporate bank account).

What is the handling fee for PayMe for Business?

A standard fee of 1.2% will be charged per transaction made using the PayMe for Business app and 1.5% per transaction made using the PayMe API (eg through your integrated website or mobile app) or POS terminals % Standard Fee (Source: HSBC).

In other words, if you use PayMe for Business to collect payment for each transaction made in the online store, the handling fee is 1.5% of the amount per order/transaction.

Example

The total amount of the customer's order plus shipping is HK$198, then the handling fee charged by PayMe for Business is:

HK$198 X 1.5% = HK$2.97

How can I use PayMe for Business on Shopify?

Step 1 - Open an HSBC Business Internet Banking account

If you are already an HSBC Business Internet Banking customer, you can register and use PayMe for Business.
